The decommissioned transformer plant offers industrial charm with countless details, while rusting machine parts lure visitors to the cable plant next to piled-up cable drums – a paradise for detail-loving photographers.

A discovery tour through the masterpieces of industrial construction – the daylight factories from the historic Oberschöneweide transformer plant.

The “aesthetic factory buildings” bear witness to the new objectivity in industrial construction. Light walls encase the steel skeleton like a skin of glass. The monumental assembly hall is supported by steel frames and enveloped by “curtain walls”. The glazed side walls provide ideal lighting conditions in the production area.
